Darryl L. Volk

Darryl Lynn Volk, 60, Minot, died peacefully at his father’s home on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from congestive heart disease.
Darryl Lynn Volk was born to Edward and Florence (Haverstraw) Volk on January 19, 1965, in Minot, ND. He graduated from Minot High School in 1983. He attended North Dakota State College of Science, graduating with a degree in Diesel Mechanics in 1986. He was employed as a diesel mechanic in Fargo at the Flying J. He then drove as an over-the-road truck driver for many years. After developing heart troubles, he moved back to Minot in 2007 and worked at the Choice Hotels call center.
Our family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and other staff who provided Darryl with wonderful care at Trinity Health.
His loving family includes:
daughter, Stephanie Volk, Biddeford, ME; father, Ed Volk (Carol Laber), Minot; brother, Dr. David (Lisa) Volk and their children, Mateo, Julian, and Maria, Dickinson, TX; uncles, Fabian (Ruth) Volk, Bismarck, and Leonard (Carol) Volk, Fargo; aunt, Rita Volk; along with numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Volk; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral: Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot.
Visitation: Wednesday, September 17, 2025, an hour prior to the service.
Inurnment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to either Lord’s Cupboard or a charity of donor’s choice.
